Obert (OB) Chauke–Butler. Obert, pronounced like ‘ Robert’, without the B, also fondly known as OB, has been with Jabulani since 2007, having previously worked as a butler in the hospitality industry. Like Sakkie, he comes from Acornhoek, which is near our lodge. OB is genuine, gentle and kind and will go way beyond the call of duty to help at any time.

Obert’s Latest Project…

In 2014, Obert started a new venture outside of working hours, paying forward the opportunities he’s been given and opening a not-for-profit daycare with his wife, Ivy Sibuyi. The daycare is situated at Timbavati Village in Acornhoek. Called Xilaveko Day Care, “Xilaveko” means “nurture” in English and that’s just what the creche does… nurture little minds and bodies.
