HERD (Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development) was founded by Adine Roode, Owner and MD of Jabulani, to provide a way to help with the increase in elephant calves orphaned due to human-elephant conflict such as poaching and snares, while providing the calves with a place to rehabilitate and gradually integrate into a herd of their own – the uniquely blended Jabulani herd of rescued elephants who accept orphans as one of their own.

SATSA members adhere to a strict Code of Conduct and are required to submit documentation pertaining to their business annually so that the association can verify they are indeed running a healthy business that can be recommended to international tour operators.
The Wildlife Conservation Trust (WCT) was founded through the efforts of many dedicated people and organisations that consistently work towards the conservation of endangered and vulnerable animal species. The WCT facilitates projects that focus on conservation, rehabilitation, research and the protection of wildlife; as well as education and training programmes relating to wildlife conservation and the environment.
